Game Preview: Edmonton Oilers vs Seattle Kraken
The Oilers are working towards getting their season back on track after a 4-9-1 start and have done so after beating the Kraken and Islanders back-to-back. Hard to believe that Draisaitl’s 19 points and McDavid’s 12 is cause for serious concern, but the standards are high. They generate plenty of chances, averaging 48.3 unblocked shots per game (4th) and 67.3 total shot attempts per game (6th). Both teams, however, allow plenty of scoring opportunities for opponents as the Kraken and Oilers have both allowed 51 goals (T-5th most), and the Kraken have allowed 500 SOG against (5th most). If this rematch turns into a back-and-forth offensive battle, the Oilers’ top line talent will face a solid offensive core with slightly more depth.
