Game Preview: Boston Bruins vs Buffalo Sabres
The Boston Bruins enter tonight’s matchup at the top of our power rankings at 685.15, but after losing to Montreal in Boston, they’ve slid down almost 21 points. They are 17th in Goals per Game and starting to show stagnant shot attempts per game, and perhaps a down trend as well (a bit too small of a sample size). Still, the Sabres are 28th in unblocked shot attempts per game and, as noted in our last game preview with the Bruins, capitalizing on the chances the Bruins allow is key as they are 1st in Goals Against per Game and 20th in SOG Against per Game. With David Pastrnak finding his game T-4th in the league in Goals, the Sabres will need to find the balance of limiting his chances as well.
